Chocolate City Brewery

 For anyone who might not know, the Chocolate City Microbrewery is located in the beautiful neighborhood of Brookland. For anyone that's new around here that would be my beloved neighborhood! Mike and I have been meaning to go check in out since we moved to Highclere in July but somehow it took us until last Saturday to get over there. Our friend Shannon was in town and she was a good sport about going for a growler when it was just a touch over 30 degrees outside. Brrr. 

The brewery is pretty small but they do let you taste samples of their beers and every Saturday from 12:30-4:30 you can come buy/refill a growler. I am a big fan of their cornerstone copper ale so that's what we went for. They also had a food truck out front so I think in warmer weather it would nice to go get a growler and some food and hang out at the picnic tables out front. I believe they are still waiting on their license to serve alcohol but hopefully they'll have it before too long. If you'd like to try one of their beers but aren't particularly interested in standing outside in the middle of winter you can also look on their website where they have a list of locations that serve their beers.
