When I was a college freshman in Ohio I listened to a lot of collegy music, you know the type: O.A.R, Dispatch, Ben Harper, etc. Dispatch was sort of the pinnacle of that type of music for me and I listened to their songs over and over (and over) again. For years I've been wanting to see them live but for one reason or another never quite got it together, until last night that is. They played a great long set, probably one of the best shows I've ever seen and I feel like I finally fulfilled that dream. I have to say, there's something about seeing your favorite band from 10 years ago that has a way of making you feel young and old at the same time. I wonder if college kids still listen to Dispatch? Based on the audience last night my guess would be no, but maybe that's just because concerts aren't cheap.
On the same line of feeling old, yesterday I asked one of the GW students I work with if she had ever used instant messenger and her response was "yes of course when I was in middle school". AHHHHH!! hahah
Take aways from the week: 1) I missed my calling as a rockstar, and 2) I am getting old.

Such a cute pup! And oh, I know the feeling... a couple of random teenagers honked at me when I was out walking the dog today and I wanted to yell back at them that "I'm about 10 years too old for you!" and then I freaked out a little.
